Inkleaf is an EPUB reader for iPhone and Android. This page states, plainly, what it does and does not involve.

Data leaves deviceNEVER

Ads and trackingNONE
01

Information stored on your device

When you add a book, Inkleaf keeps the following in its own private storage on your phone:

It is kept in a small local database and local files, used only to show your library and reopen your books where you stopped. None of it is copied to a server, because Inkleaf does not have one.

02

Files you choose

Inkleaf uses your phone's standard file picker. The app receives only the single file you choose, when you choose it. It does not browse your files, and it does not ask for access to your photos, camera, microphone, contacts or location. Your original file is never changed or deleted by the app.

03

Network use

Inkleaf does not make network connections. The web view inside the app only displays book pages stored on your phone, and it is not allowed to load anything from the internet. The only network activity on your device is whatever the App Store or Google Play needs to install or update the app.

04

Analytics & tracking

No analytics, no crash reporters, no advertising software, no fingerprinting. We do not collect device identifiers or advertising IDs and do not track you across other apps or websites. Inkleaf does not know you opened the app, and neither do we.

05

Third parties

Inkleaf does not share data with anyone, because it does not collect any to share. No library inside the app sends data off your phone.

06

Your content

Inkleaf shows whatever EPUB files you choose. We do not see, scan, review or upload them. You are responsible for having the right to read the files you add. Inkleaf opens DRM-free EPUB files only and does not remove copy protection.

07

Backups

Your phone's operating system may include the app's stored data in your own device backup (for example iCloud Backup on iPhone, or Android Backup to your Google account), depending on your settings. Those backups are made and controlled by you and your operating system. The developer of Inkleaf does not receive them.

08

Deleting your data

To remove one book, press and hold its cover in the library and confirm. Inkleaf deletes its copy of the file, the cover, the unpacked files and your reading place for that book. Your original file is not touched. To remove everything, uninstall Inkleaf. Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing to request, access, correct or erase on our side.

09

Children's privacy

Inkleaf is not directed at children under 13 and, per the sections above, collects no personal information from any user of any age. The app has no accounts, chat, ads or purchases. It can open any EPUB its owner chooses, so a parent or guardian decides which books are added on a child's phone.

10

Changes to this policy

If a future version of Inkleaf ever adds a feature that uses the network or handles personal data, this page and the store privacy details will be updated before that version is released, with a new "last updated" date above.
